In WooCommerce, a Product Add-On Campaign is a powerful strategy used by online store owners to increase their average order value (AOV) by encouraging customers to add complementary or related products to the product page before completing their purchase. This is achieved by offering customers enticing deals, discounts, or suggestions for additional items that enhance their shopping experience or meet their needs.
For example, Let's say you run an online electronics store, and a customer is about to purchase a high-end digital camera from your website. To implement a Product Add-On Campaign, you can offer the customer relevant add-ons that enhance their photography experience. Here's how it might work:
Primary Product: Digital Camera
Product Add-Ons: Camera Bag (10% discount)
This user guide explains creating a Product Add-on campaign using UpsellWP
Percentage Discount: Provide a discount on the Product Add-on offer product (e.g., On the T-shirt product page 10% off on the Cap).
Free Discount: Offer the Product Add-on product for free.
No Discount: Display the Product Add-on offer on the product page without a discount.
Before proceeding, you must have installed and activated the Upsell PRO.
